Congratulations are in order for The Real Housewives of Atlanta and The New Normal star NeNe Leakes and her ex-husband Gregg. The couple, who have been together for 17 years before divorcing back in 2011 have decided to remarry on New Years Eve.
If you have been watching the show, then you know last season NeNe had a falling out with her husband, which ended up in their divorce and this season Gregg has been pulling out all the stops to woo his ex-wife back.
It all started when Gregg wined and dined NeNe with a romantic dinner. When they arrived at their condo, NeNe was greeted with the works -- a trail of rose petals and candles which led to their bedroom, where NeNe was greeted by champagne, strawberries and heart-shaped Hershey's kisses on their bed. Once they got into the bedroom, Gregg proposed to his ex-wife and she revealed on Twitter that, “My Answer Was Yes!”.
While the cynic side of me would say the only reason he's trying to woo her back is because she's become a star bigger than the "Housweives" franchise, and that she's a "very rich bitch," I truly believe NeNe and Gregg love each other and that they can make it work for another 17 years. Yes NeNe can be a bit abrasive with her personality, but when I look at her I see someone who loves hard and is loyal to any man she commits herself to. I just hope Gregg is willing to work just as hard after marriage #2 than he did to get back in her good graces, because oftentimes once we men get what we want, we get complacant. After the marriage is just as hard as when you work hard to get the person in your life, so I've got my fingers crossed that they can make it work. I'm sure Andy Cohen is filled with glee that RHOA season 6 can be all about NeNe planning her wedding.
