Last night while performing for a huge crowd at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ, music icon Madonna took a moment to dedicate her song Masterpiece (which also won a Golden Globe) to Lady Gaga. M-Dolla also took a moment to throw a little shade in Caca's direction by also saying that, “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”
She also stated that she likes Lady Copycat and that she promises to share the stage with her "soon." Hopefully that doesn't mean a duet of some kind, because if Madonna doesn't want to tarnish her reputation she'll steer clear from that thieving bitch at all costs.
While Gaga's creative director has openly admitted that they have plagarized Madonna's mainstream playbook, I've said it the five previous times and I will say it again: Madonna needs to move on already about the similarities. I mean you've made your point when you perform Express Yourself/Born This Way/She's Not Me every night on the MDNA tour.
I love you girl and have been a fan since I was a wee little gay, but I'm sure there are a few underground artists who never made it out into the mainstream who have a few things to say about some of your songs sounding similar to stuff they've done. Unless you're going to sue her for plagarism, let's talk about far more important things. In the video below, the dedication begins at the 6:00 mark.
