VH1 may be considered the new BET with all it's nigger nonsense content in regards to showing only the stereotyical aspects of black culture by having their women always fighting or acting ghetto. But the network redeemed itself slightly with the positive representation of friendly women finding love, relaunching careers, and finding themselves with the success of Single Ladies (going into it's third season) and Hollywood Exes (which has just been renewed for a second season). I actually like Hollywood Exes because it lets you get to know the women who were once behind the most powerful A-list men in Hollywood, who after their divorces had to rediscover who they were and become their own individual instead of the ex-wife of said celebrity. R. Kelly's ex-wife Andrea makes me laugh with her zingy one-liners, and it's good to see the ladies being friends and getting into the occasional verbal spat - but then coming together to work it out.
With Nicole Murphy, Jessica Canseco, Andrea Kelly, Sheree Fletcher and Mayte Garcia already part of the show, there are rumors that Daphne Wayans, ex-wife of Keenen Ivory Wayans (who is now dating the white girl from The Game) is being added to the show. I'm also curious to see how Nicole will be able to balance filming the show, since her fiancé Michael Strahan started his job co-hosting alongside Kelly Ripa this past monday in New York City. I guess they will just have to put Tim Gunn's phrase to use and "make it work!"
