THE SPICE GIRLS SPICES UP EVERYONE'S LIFE AT THE LONDON OLYMPICS CLOSING CEREMONY
One of my favorite pop girl groups growing up the Spice Girls reunited together for the first time in ages to close out the London Olympics yesterday, and they did not disappoint. I found it interesting that Ryan Gaycrest called their performence the "worst kept secret" especially when Victoria Beckham took a picture of her microphone and posted it on her Facebook page. So maybe the girls didn't realize it was supposed to be a suarprise. What does he think this is his ratched iHeartradio festival?
Check out the girls sing a medley of “Wannabe” and “Spice Up Your Life” below...
I also added Pet Shop Boys singing West End Girls. I would have also added performances by George Michael, Annie Lennox, Queen with Jessie J, and One Direction, but their performances keep getting deleted online. It would have also been awesome if they would have added Kylie Minogue to perform (so she could finally get some much-needed recognition in the States), but she's an honorary Londoner. What also annoyed me was that NBC was more interested in playing commercials than allowing George's full performance to air. They showed him performing Freedom 90 but cut his performance of his new single White Light. I guess the American markets don't want viewers to know he's releasing a new album.
