ANDRE 3000 TO PLAY JIMI HENDRIX IN BIOPIC
It looks like Andre 3000 has just landed the biggest role of his career. Worod on the street is that the Outkast singer/rapper has just nabbed the role of Jimi Hendrix in the upcoming biopic All Is By My Side. The film will take on everything, from his childhood, to being discovered in New York City, finding success and repect in England and his untimely death from a herion overdose. Screenwriter and novelist John Ridley (Three Kings, U-Turn and Red Tails) is writing the script as well as directing the film, and will start shooting in Ireland this month.
While I am excited about the upcoming Teddy Pendegrass biopic starring Tyrese and the Marvin Gaye biopic starring Usher (that is if both films can finally get off the ground) the film I am really excited about is the upcoming biopic of Jimi Hendrix. I have been a Hendrix fan since forever, and even though he only released one album, his genius is undeniable. I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie and I know that Dre will do him justice.
