Remember actor Kirk Cameron, who played Mike Seaver on the hit 80's sitcom Growing Pains? Since the show was canceled (and I'm sure money was running low), the former teen heartthrob has made a career out of being a pusher man for Jesus (aka born again Christian) and has gone on the record to say he doesn't believe in evolution (among other things).
So here is the real reason why I am talking about this irrelevant closet-case (I'll get to that bit of tea in a moment). The 41-year-old stopped by Piers Morgan's CNN show on Friday and being that Kirk is an evangelical he was asked his thoughts on homosexuality. Before I get mo my thoughts, here is what Herndon Graddick, senior director of programs at GLAAD had to say in regards to Kirk omments via The Chicago Tribune:
“In this interview, Kirk Cameron sounds even more dated than his 1980s TV character. Cameron is out of step with a growing majority of Americans, particularly people of faith who believe that their gay and lesbian brothers and sisters should be loved and accepted based on their character and not condemned because of their sexual orientation.”
“With an increasing number of states recognizing marriage equality, Americans are seeing that marriage is about committed couples who want to make a lifelong promise to take care of and be responsible for each other and that gay and lesbian couples need equal security and legal protections. That’s not ‘redefining’ anything.”
In brief remarks to TMZ Saturday night, Morgan called Cameron “brave” to voice his beliefs. Morgan said he feels Cameron “was honest to what he believed” even if most people find his views to be “antiquated.”
GLAAD in my opinion has wasted valued energy on responding to this stupid views, because has-been celebrities who spend alot of time worrying about what others are doing in the privacy of their own bedroom, but always divert back to the bible whenever they can't come up with a valid answer are just ignorant, misinformed and have issues of their own that they are covering up. I do pity his six children who I hope won't end up gay because I guarantee you they'll wind up killing themselves. Oh, and as for that closet case remark I made towards him, I'm glad this is the perfect opportunity for me to share a blind item with you guys from the site Blindgossip.com:
There is an area in Griffith Park where you can take the kiddies for a train ride. A certain actor used to enjoy taking men for another kind of ride in the same area. He would cruise the park, pick up a guy, and then hook up with them in his car. The really ironic thing here is that the actor is so religious that when he was a teen heartthrob (a couple of decades ago) he used to insist that any dialogue that was even the slightest bit sexual or profane be removed from his lines because they violated his sense of decency. He’s all grown up now, but we’re sure his wife really appreciates what a moral man she married.

While its common knowledge that deeply religious folk are brainwashed, I liked what his former Growing Pains castmates Tracey Gold (I am a strong supporter of the #LGBT Community, and I believe in equal rights for all. #NOH8 #LOVE) and Alan Thicke (I'll address kirk's comments as soon as I recover from rush limbaugh's) had to say instead on Twitter:
