I've been obsessed with A*M*E since I heard the track City Lights, but after hearing her latest single Ride Or Die, I am a fan for life. Like City Lights, Ride or Die was produced by MNEK. Here is what A*M*E told ID magazine about the kind of music she wants to make: "I'm doing something different to the stereotypical black, teenage, urban thing, so I hope people appreciate that. It’s fun pop music, nothing too heavy, tragic, sad or anything like that. Something people can relate to. I’m bringing it back 90s style."
The 90's was a great time to be making music, especially the New Jack Swing era which artists such as Heavy D helped ushered in. Many have tried to capture the feel of 90's hip hop/house/electro music, but leave it to our friends in the UK to always get it right. Check out Ride or Die below...
