GENERAL HOSPITAL ACTOR TO PLAY VAMPIRE HUNTER ON THE VAMPIRE DIARIES

Sebastian Roché, best known for his roles on Supernatural, Fringe and General Hospital has joined the third season of The Vampire Diaries as a mysterious man hunting vampires especially original vampire Klaus. 

The yet-to-be-named recurring character was originally described in casting breakdowns as "rugged, handsome, charming and dangerous." It is unknown when exactly Roché will make his Vampire Diaries debut, but the role was originally being cast for the third episode of Season 3.


The Vampire Diaries has been getting real good as of late, especially with Stefan traveling with the dangerous Klaus to keep Elena safe, which we all know will draw Elena and her brother Damon closer. Jeremy now able to communicate with the dead and Alaric stepping in as Elena's and Jeremy's caregiver is just what the doctor ordered. Roché is an excellent actor and I'm looking forward to seeing what he brings to the table in the third season. There's also word that 7th heaven star David Gallagher has signed on to play a werewolf on the new season as well, and for those who have been following Gallagher, you all know how fiiiiine his ass got oas he became legal. 


The Vampire Diaries air September 15 on the CW
