POP SINGER SAYS LADY GAGA IS MAKING IT DIFFICULT FOR OTHER ARTISTS TO COMPETE
Lady Gaga is taking the if it ain't broke, don't fix it route with her next single. Gaga has said in previous interviews last week that the follow-up to Born This Way will be Judas (or may not be depending on if she decides to change her mind at the last minute). Well just like she teased fans by revealing the lyrics to BTW via her Twatter, the "Bad Romance" singer revealed a bit of the lyrics to Judas, which she says is about falling for the same bad men over and over again.
“I’m just a Holy Fool, oh baby he’s so cruel, but I’m still in love with Judas, Baby,”
In other Gaga news, singer Jessie J says that Ms. Germanotta's success is making it difficult for other competing artists to succeed, since now the few labels that are left are only interested in promoting artists that dress like Gaga and sing and dance to a dance pop beat.
“She’s literally made normal artists and music boring, which bothers me,” she told OK! magazine. She admits that she is a fan of Gaga’s but that it’s making other great performers get panned.
“It annoys me when people say Leona Lewis is boring. No, she’s not. She’s got a sick voice and being normal is cool,” she added.
I have been saying this for the longest. While the flashy clothes and the desperate ways she goes about getting attention was cute at first, you can't rely on being a stunt queen as the driving force of your career forever. Most of us and yes, even your devoted "monsters" will grow tired of your schtick very soon. If there was anything you learned from the sociology class given at the University of Madonna I would think that would have been the top lesson you would have learned. The industry needs to learn that there's room for everyone to compete and make money, but they rather follow what works for one person instead of taking a risk on someone that doesn't do what Gaga is doing. It's sad to admit it, but it's the name of the game that you have to play. it becomes difficuklt for artists who don't sing, dance, and masturbate on stage with used car parts. I like Jessie and I wish her well as a new artist. Gaga, you are a good singer and hopefully when that time comes when you get hit with the big backlash that you can go back to what I loved about you which was when you showed your vulnerable side using your voice and your piano.
Sidebar: The music video for Born This Way, which is directed by Nick Knight, Laurieann Gibson and Gaga herself, will premiere online on Monday, February 28th at 11:00 a.m.
In the meantime, check out an a capella version of Born This Way where Gaga takes it to chuuuch with her three back-up singers at Madison Square Garden last night. If you notice one of the cameras in a fan's home video shot, the concert was being taped for her concert for HBO May 7th
