The very sexy Idris Elba, who stars as Heimdall in Kenneth Branagh's Thor, and who just signed on to star in Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengence had a bit of a chat with Total Film about his deal with Marvel Studios. Here's an excerpt from their report:
"I wouldn't mind having a crack at bringing Blade back, personally," He says with a wry smile, echoed with a laugh from his manager.
"But erm, there's a couple of things there that they have... Luke Cage is... very interesting."
Blade: Trinity rubbed alot of fans the wrong way a few years back when it was released. However, i think since the first film came out in 1999, there is room for a reboot. Dave Goyer can write a brand new film that brings a different essence to the series. I still feel Michael Jai White would be a good replacement as Blade. He, like Snipes have a martial arts bachground. I remember a few years ago Tyrese was in talks to play Luke Cage, but I think Idris would be perfect for that role. They just need a good writer and director to bring the Luke Cage story to life.
