UGLY BETTY'S JUSTIN HAS HIS FIRST GAY KISS
Now that this is Ugly Betty's final season, it seems they are getting alot bolder with their storylines. I would peg this season as their best since the first, but unfortunately, the constant shuffle of the series forced ABC to force MODE to close it's doors. Anyways, Betty's gay nephew Justin, who we all know is gay but the show never confirmed pushed Justin all the way out the closet when he had his first gay kiss on the show last night. How proud was I that we have finally moved into an era where we could showcase actual storylines where they can show young people who go through confused stages of love and experience that feeling toward the same sex and it's played out innocently and honestly instead of for laughs. I loved that finally he got to mess around with the boy he's been crushing on for the past two seasons. You go boy! Seeing this definitely made me proud to be gay since ABC broke ground with Wilson Cruz's character on My So-Called Life.

Very true, I'm glad to see that we have moved forward. Ana Ortiz's little talk with Betty was something that touched me and made me wish that when I was coming out someone would have said that to me. At least now we're heading in the right direction.
Hilda knows her son is gay. She just wants him to come out and admit it to himself. I loved how the showed played on the theme of people trying to be something they are not to protect themselves from rejection. It did have me wonder did they decide to push the Justin kiss because this is their last season? Either way I am glad ABC didn't back down from a gay kiss between teenage boys in primetime. Now if only they can work out their drama in daytime with the One Life to Live Kish fiasco
