As you all know, I love all things tranny. In fact, I love it when my girls make it on TV, be it Amanda Lepore or even Candis Cayne. I was even watching Trantasia the other day. While watching this jaw-dropping documentary, I was wondering why don't we have a reality series showing the hard work, grittiness, and obstacles the transgendered women of the world face every day? Transgendered community have had no choice but go out in the world and live their truth, refuse to hide who they are, and are forced to become strong in a society that treats them worse than gays and lesbians. Shedding light on the transgendered community in my opinion would help those out there who feel they have no voice in this cruel world.
Pop Icon Janet Jackson takes on the role of executive producer for the documnentary ‘Being T,’ a documentary that gives an insightful look into the lives of 12 male to female transsexuals living in New York City.
Lots of times our stories don't get the light shined on them they deserve, so it's quite refreshing to see someone as big as Janet taking on such a tough subject relating to the LGBT community. This is why I love Janet so much. She always has and continues to serve as a loyal ally to the LGBT community. I am gagging over this movie and I am desperately looking forward to seeing this film. Being T is executive produced by Janet Jackson and directed by Robert Jason and Eric Miclette.
